Felix Corona is the Mexican Ambassador to Malaysia. Felix has served in the foreign service since 1982, assuming Ambassadorship in 2009. Prior to that, he served as Minister for Political Affairs in the Embassy of Mexico in the US; Deputy Consul General of Mexico in San Diego, US; Deputy Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles, US; Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Mexico in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the 1992-94 armed conflict; and as Deputy Head of Mission in the Embassy of México in the Republic of Korea. He has also been posted at the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Mexico as Director General for the Protection of Mexicans abroad and Consular Affairs, and is a member of Academic institutions including the World Affairs Council and the Pacific Council on International Affairs. Felix is a graduate in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and studied Diplomatic Affairs at the Diplomatic Institute of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, the Matias Romero Institute.
